Weight Loss: Low- Fat diets would be recommended. Multiple therapies have been investigated for the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Weight loss is the only therapy with sufficient evidence suggesting it is beneficial and safe. A reasonable goal for many patients is to lose 0.5 to 1 kg/week (1 to 2 lb/week). Stay away from sweets too.
