A member asked:

Can any doc tell me what's meant by hypercellular bone marrow?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cellularity: Cellularity is typically calculated by 100-the age of the person. So a 60 year old should have a 40% cellular marrow. If it is considerably more, than it is hyper cellular. Can be seen on reactive problems, myelodysplasia, and some other disease processes. Hope this helps.
