Type 1 or type 2?: Hi. Poverty is tough, and diabetes is an expensive disease. I'm sorry for your hardship. If you're type 1, you must have insulin, or you'll decompensate metabolically in short order. You can get by for longer without insulin if you're type 2. Most cities have health clinics for people living in poverty; reach out to one. They should help you with your insulin. Good luck!
