Your metabolism: When your metabolism revs up your body temperature increases and will result in sweating. Being overweight or having breathing problems like snoring or apneas while you are asleep will cause this to happen. Keep a cool but comfortable temperature in the bedroom but if the sweating is associated with breathing problems then a sleep study will evaluate for sleep apnea as the cuase of the sweating.

Is this new?: If so, a physician's office visit is in order. Bacterial endocarditis, TB, and Hodgkin's / lymphoma are all possible causes.
