Having sex...: Even though there is intense pressure these days to be sexually active, especially among teenagers, no one should feel pressured to have sex if they still don't feel ready for it. Sex can be a great source of pleasure but also a great source of emotional pain if it happens when someone is still not ready for it. If you have had a trauma associated with sex you should see a therapist for that.

Time for study: People are often afraid of a variety of things and that fear can be disabling. The way to approach this phobia is similar to what you would do for a phobia about water or snakes,etc.Find an unrelated counselor and pursue a discussion of your fear so you both can discover its origin. It can take a while, but as you begin to understand how this came about you can plan a way to overcome it.
