Normal: The heart rate may increase 10 to 15% after a large meal as digestion raises the metabolism. The normal heart rate should gradually return after the stomach empties after an hour or two. A significant portion of your blood's circulation is diverted to the intestinal area after a meal. Of course, caffeine and alcohol also increase the heart rate.

Anxiety?: Heart rate can go a few beats up after eating and more markedly after exercise (worse if you are physically unfit) but the main question is how do you know your heart rate is up? Do you feel palpitations or are you measuring your heart rate routinely? If you are a healthy 25 yo and have no symptoms, you should not measure or worry about heart rate. You may be worrying too much.
