Birth control: You do not ovulate when on birth control pills. That is the point of taking them -- to block ovulation. Taking one pill late will not decrease the effectiveness. You also had a period so i see no reason to suspect pregnancy. You can always take a home pregnancy test though if you are concerned. They are cheap, reliable and available at any pharmacy.
