Possibly: It sounds as if the issue is your cervical spine. Have it evaluated and x rays done.

Trapezius: Since the trapezius muscle covers the back of the neck, stress or strain on that muscle may cause headaches. Are you performing any exercises that strain that muscle? Is your pillow a problem? Have you been troubled by mental stress and anxiety? If so, see your physician who may refer you for psychotherapy or prescribe antianxiety medication and/or muscle relaxants after your evaluation.
