Violently throwing up over 12 hour period, mostly acidy water, can't hold down medicine, water or basically anything no none cause, has happened befor

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Dehydration possible: Extensive vomiting can lead to dehydration and more importantly electrolyte abnormalities. Pedialyte was formulated for re-hydration. Inability to hold down oral medicine/fluids is the reason people go to urgent care clinics or emergency departments. Evaluation of electrolyte status will determine whether IV fluids are necessary. Medications can also be administered to help relieve the vomiting.
