See details: You can help him/her by taking that person to the er for admission and detox and then having him/her go to a drug and alcohol rehab facility.

Take to hospital: Could be experiencing alcohol tremulousness, but may even be developing early DT's. This is not to be glossed over, as your friend has a serious problem which could rapidly deteriorate further. Highly recommend AA once medically stabilized.
