What next after positive d dimer test and ct scan lung was clear? persistent fever abdominal pain swollen neck glands to point affecting swallowing.

Consult an ID doc: D dimer only good if negative. Positive can be a lot of things. Fevers enlarged glands etc can be a serious condition. Depends on length of time the symptoms have been as well. Need to see id doctor if symptoms there for wks. Possible infectious or even blood disorder or oncology as well. Presume clear chest ct is no clot or lung disease. Need further eval.
