Why would a pancreatic tumor not show up on spiral ct with contrast?

Should show usually: A small lesion in the pancreas might not show up if it did not alter either the contour of the gland or its density. This would be unusual but not impossible. In any event, the "tumor" would have to be very small. Mri might be helpful in such a situation.
