Post-traumatic HA: Patients with a previous history of a primary headache (e.g. Migraine) disorder have a probability of developing a post-traumatic headache.Trauma may involve the cervical spine, especially in an acceleration-deceleration (whiplash) injury. The muscles may develop trigger points that are capable of referring pain to the head triggering migraine. Rec.: see interventional pain management specialist.
