Depends: Ethanol is avialble in all alcoholic beverrages (common to splash in the eye with no ill efffects), as rubbing and cleaning solution of high concentration (if you get this in your eye you might cause an abrasion - it certainly will hurt), and in various industrial products. When you blink, you get rid of most of the liquid but for persistent pain or vision drop, see an ophthalmologist.
