I have a herniated disk in my l4/l5 area how long will it take to get better been having it for 4 weeks now back doesn't really hurt just in my leg?

Variable: The resolution of pain from a herniated disc will vary from person to person. Could be just a few days more for you or could be weeks and even months more, unfortunately. If your symptoms are manageable and you are functioning fine, i would definitely recommend continued time/observation. If symtoms worsen or persist, talk to your doctor about further treatment options.

Can take long time: Here is the good news....According to greenburg, 50% of all things such as herniated disks or other examples of what we would refer to as "compressive neuropathies" resolve without any out side intervention. The bad news....It can take a very long time. In my case, when i got sciatica after doing legs with a buddy it took over 9 months for my back and leg feel normal again.
