Baby drop: Babies dropping - or engaging - when the head drops into the pelvis in preparation for birth/labor - first time pregnancy - as early as 36 weeks. All babies will "drop": as labor starts since the baby's head is one of the things that causes the cervix to dilate and efface (thin out).
