If you are not: Gaining weight, you should get an ultrasound study.

Gaining weight: Gaining weight is the most common reason for a stomach to be growing. Are you eating more than 1500 calories per day? Are most of your calories from sugar or carbohydrates? An x-ray is the least likely test to tell you what may be wrong if something is wrong. I would advise a different doctor if an x-ray was what they offered you. If you have a condition you need an ultrasound.
