Allergic reaction: Or just normal response to removal of tonsils. If removal was recent...As in the passed few hours or day swelling can continue for a few days after. If you are also taking other medications and you could be having an allergic response then you need to seek emergency care now. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) would be appropriate if its an allergic reaction.
