Please see below: Usually 12 hours. But, MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) does not cause stool the water.It will soften the stool. You might need to take stronger laxative if this does not work.

About a week: I always recommend sitz bath for the treatment, starting with 3 times daily the twice daily total 3 weeks.
