What is the difference between pregnancy spotting and early period?

Different: Pregnancy spotting is normal discharge while you remain pregnant. An early period occurs when you're not pregnant. Please discuss this with your physician if you are concerned.

Maybe nothing.: Spotting is not uncommon in early pregnancy. But remember that menstrual blood does not look like the blood from a cut. See your ob.
