A while: I presume you are feeling better, the fever should be improved, though cough is milder. If that is the case then you are getting better. Many people have residual cough and fatigue for several weeks after. In my experience most people are not back to normal for about 6 weeks. But it is pretty variable. If you are not any better, go back to see your doctor.

2-4wks: Depending on health status, it takes 2-4wks to get full recovery........Of course with appropriate/adequate antibiotics.

Doubt pneumonia.: Pneumonia generally doesn't last any time close to the twenty months you've described. I'd be concerned that something else is going on. You need an intensive evaluation to uncover the true cause of your illness.
