Get checked: You need to be evaluated to see if you have an extra-cranial source of pain, such as a TMJ pain syndrome, vs. An intracranial source such as migraines or cluster headaches, or even an intracranial mass lesion such as a meningioma.

Cluster headaches: Your age and gender favors the above. Cause is complex with activation of the trigeminal nerve and you may need some imaging. This is genetically related. Triptans are used by injection or by pills.
