A member asked:

I keep getting small persistent red spots on my lip line. sometimes they have small white heads. they don't crust/weep like coldsores. what are they?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fordyce Spots ?: Fordyce spots are small raised, pale red, yellow-white or skin-colored bumps or spots that appear on the shaft of the penis, the labia, scrotum, or the vermilion border of the lips (the outside red part of the lip). These are benign (not associated with any disease or illness) and represent sebaceous glands. They are only a cosmetic concern. See a board certified dermatologist to have it checked.
