Yellow stools: Prilosec shuts down acid secretion in the stomach. Yellowish diarrhea can be seen in irritable bowel, colitis, or intestinal infections when the stool has a rapid transit through the intestinal tract. Liver and gall bladder problems can cause yellowish stools but in your case the associated diarrhea suggests the other causes. In your case Prilosec possibly caused loose stools.

Ulcerative colitis: You are taking Asacol (mesalamine) and most likely also have ulcerative colitis. Your question has to do with normal pigment of stool by bile. The Prilosec may not have solved this. It is important to see your doctor if your stool changes color or if you experience diarrhea. You may have a flair up.
