Variable: Results depending upon length of time, dosage , and individual. The higher dose and longer time, the more potential for problems. Most people will gradually resume some or all of normal testosterone secretion over time -- but it is extremely variable and impossible to predict. Other organs, such as the adrenals, will make some testosterone. Check w/an endocrinologist for assistance/advice.

See answer: The potential downside of testosterone replacement therapy is that it suppresses your body's pituitary-testis hormonal axis which is what regulates the production of testosterone so that when you stop trt, it takes time for the body's production to start back up: from a few to many months and in some cases it stays permanently suppressed. There are medications (e.g. Clomiphene) that can stimulate.
