Cyst or tumor: A hard lump on your thigh is most likely a cyst or a benign tumor, such as a fibroma. If the lump has been there a long time, has not changed size and is not painful, you can just "watch" it. If it has appeared recently or has enlarged, then a surgeon should remove it. A pathologist will then determine if it will be of future concern.
