Will a chin implant look different after 10 years?

It may: Nothing remains the same in living faces. Things sag, thin and otherwise change depending on many factors. Ask your experienced surgeon what changes might happen to your chin implant.

Possibly: Chin implants vary in the materials they are made of. Silicone implants are soft and rubbery, and can cause bone resorption underneath them, so the chin can appear to recede. Hard implants, such as Porex, are less likely to do this. For these reasons, instead of an artificial implant, I generally recommend a sliding genioplasty, or an osteotomy of the chin, in order to move the chin itself.
