FT3: 2.98 is not too low but ft3 by itself tells nothing. You need to also have measurement of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) in the pituitary of your brain. (don't worry - the measurement is in your blood not your brain) you also need measurement of ft4 which is made in the thyroid (as is t3) and is 1000 fold higher than ft3.
