OCD and genetics: Some anxiety disorders such as ocd are inhereted. Panic disorder may also have a genetic component but that represents a diverse group of patients so the genetics may or may not be a factor, depending on the individual.

Does run in families: Research has provided evidence that anxious temperament may be inherited and this temperament is a risk factor for the development of anxiety (and for depression and substance abuse as well). In addition, a recent study found that brain metabolism, in specific brain areas, accounts for a significant portion of the inherited risk of developing extreme anxiety.
