What's the difference between transvaginal & transrectal ultrasound in what they see?

What is nearest: Transvaginal ultrasound is often used to evaluate ovaries and that area (adnexa). Transrectal (or endorectal) ultrasound can visualize prostate (in men) and tissues around the rectum; this is most often used to evaluate rectal growths for depth of invasion and if nearby lymph nodes are enlarged (which is concerning for tumor spread). This information helps to guide treatment, and often follow-up.

A transvaginal ultrasound revealed 5 follicles in my left ovary and one follicle in right ovary. Dr didn't say much. I cannot find anything about this on internet. What would cause this big difference?
