Multiple causes: A chronic cough may be caused by multiple conditions. A chest radiograph, analysis of your airway secretions and a TB test may be ordered. In addition, if you have sinus congestion or reflux these conditions may contribute or cause prolonged cough. Aspiration of food or other substances into the lung may be retained and cause a prolonged cough. In your age group, cfis less likely, but still possib.
