There are options: I have used a tens unit for patients who cannot tolerate the caines local anesthetic group and have had good success. Look for someone in your area who has this.

Get an allergy test: Allergic reactions rarely occur with the amide-type local anesthetics used today. Most likely that your reactions are either from anxiety or to the epinephrine in the local anesthetic. Get an allergy test for caines before getting the shot.
