Relief from ANT's: Cbt is one of the best evidence-based psychotherapy practices we have today. Cbt assists in understanding how your thoughts (cognitions) directly relate to feelings/moods ; behaviors that might upset you. It can help you link insight into the content of your negative or ant's/automatic neg. Thoughts--e.g., daniel amen's work and the process of your thinking that gets you stuck e.g. Aaron beck.

CBT: In contrast to other forms of psychotherapy, cognitive therapy is usually more focused on the present, more time-limited, and more problem-solving oriented. In addition, patients learn specific skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. These skills involve identifying distorted thinking, modifying beliefs, relating to others in different ways, and changing behaviors.
