Tragus: The tragus is the small pointed eminence of the external ear in front of the ear canal. Unlike the ear lobe, it has a core of cartilage. I have seen pain ratings (on a scale of 1 to 10 where 10 is the worst) ranging from 3 to 7. It probably depends greatly on the person and on the method of the professional doing the piercing. I would find someone who had a good experience and use that piercer.
