When one is: Hyperopic (farsightedness) it is not uncommon for the distance vision to be clearer than near vision. Spectacle or contact lens correction can neutralize the refractive error. Most of the world has some type of refractive error.

Presbyopia: Or age-related reading difficulty, is a very common eye condition that typically develops in our 40s. However, it can occur at younger ages, especially if your daily activities involve a lot of near work. Assuming your eye exam is otherwise normal, your blurring should respond well to reading glasses if your symptoms are significant enough.
