SAD: Probably in the same way that it has already affected you. But, now you know and can do something about it. Talk to your family doctor and get a psychiatric consultation for the treatments that are now available.

How severe are sx's?: It doesn't mean that you will develop other affective disorders. Treating seasonal affective disorder: Light therapy can be very effective. Psychotherapy and psychotropic medications can also be beneficial. Consider a tropical vacation when it is cold back home.
