Any advice? i have been diagnosed with costochondritis and been given 500mg a day to take this is making no difference?

Try for 3 weeks : Usually we will try that approach (nsaid pain medications) for 3-4 weeks. After that, it is worth seeing your physician again to see if it would be worth taking steroid medications by injection or by mouth. The condition typically lasts from a few weeks up to a year, so controlling the symptoms is the key. Best of luck to you!
