Treatment available: It is best to check with the military doctor. If you had the onset of asthma at age eight years and still have symptoms, it is likely to continue. Allergen avoidance and identification of potential triggers, pulmonary testing and medications can help to maintain normal lung function. Exercise is one possible trigger of asthma. Treatment includes a bronchodilator 10-15 minutes before exercise.
