Inflammation!: Not all headaches are the same. As a pain reliever, Ibuprofen may assist relief, but it may not always help vascular headaches, of which most are classified as migraines. Whiplash usually has some component of inflammation which could account for the better response to the NSAID class of which Ibuprofen is a short acting member.
