Depends: If you've had any previous injuries to your shoulder, you may have a damaged joint or supporting soft tissues which make you more susceptible. Alternatively, there are patients with abnormal flexibility in their soft tissues who will dislocate more easily. Either way, there are treatments that can help, all the way up to surgery, so see a physician if this is a persistent problem.
