No: Fasting is not a safe method for losing weight. The combination of exercise and a healthy, well-balanced diet is the best way to lose weight and keep it off.

Starvation is Danger: Starvation diets are the most dangerous diets. They may provide temporary early weight loss but the minute food is reintroduced people gain the weight back and often end up heavier. This is because your body turns off all metabolic signals and these are very hard to turn back on. Phentermine is a dangerous medication. Any physician who prescribed it does not have your best interests at heart.

Do not fast: Please do not eliminate all food in order to lose weight! this will cause you to lose muscle, a very precious and highly metabolically active tissue. When you lose muscle, your metabolic rate decreases so that it becomes harder to maintain weight loss. If using phentermine, you have a prescribing physician who can help you develop a food plan towards your goals. Nutritionist can help too.
