Possible: When reflux of acid from the stomach heads up your "food tube" or esophagus, there can be many manifestations of this discomfort. Some people even say that this pain can feel like a heart attack if associated with esophageal spasm. If you are having shortness of breath however, i would consider a detailed history and physical exam with your primary care physician to rule out other causes.
