How likely is it for a 20 year old female smoker of 4 years to develop lung cancer? immediately and later in life.

Quit is while you ar: It is best to stop it now so that you do not have to face this question again. Cigarette smoking will increase your risk for many more cancers than just lung cancer. It is a way of poisoning your body and committing a slow suicide. So my advice is to cut down your use with one less cigarette smoked every day till you run out of the pack. It is the worst habit of all!

Unknown: There is virtually no chance that a 20 year old who has smoked for 4 years has lung cancer. The longer one smokes, and the more one smokes, the higher the risk of developing lung cancer, emphysema, bronchitis, and other cancers and medical illnesses associated with smoking. Please find a way to quit!
