See doctor: If the problem is a mild one, time will heal it. If the problem is severe, you will need to see a doctor who may prescribe some Prednisone pills or a cortisone injection for you. In the meanwhile, try apply some otc Hydrocortisone cream 3 to 4 times daily. Also clean up anything that might be contaminated (shoes, equipment) with a laundry detergent.

Steroids, herbs ;...: Topical steroids probably work best but i don't recommend them unless it's severe or over a large area. Many natural therapies can help. A paste of oatmeal ; baking soda is drying. Many are helped by applying witch hazel, jewelweed ;/or aloe vera. See http://www.Globalhealingcenter.Com/natural-health/poison-ivy-remedies/ homeopathic rhus tox helps, as does hyland's poison ivy/oak tablets.
