Signs to look for: Most viral illnesses last 7-10 days. If he looks well and is not in pain or distress, having no trouble breathing, vomiting, neck stiffness, rashes, a call to your physician to let them know is the first step. If the fever is 101 f or more, children, s tylenol (acetaminophen) dosed for his weight can be given.
