Energy drinks: Absolutely not. The taurine in these drinks puts such unnecessary strain on your heart that it is not even safe for you. Imagine slamming your baby's heart with a sledge hammer. That is what an energy drink is like to a baby!

Not a good idea!: It is safe for you but taking an Amino Acid supplement can alter the Amino Acid content in breast milk and mess with babie's liver and pancreas.

But because contents of Amino Acid supplements (aas) vary; branched-chain aa may be harmful; and scientific information about the use of aas while nursing is very limited; always better to play it safe and avoid and discuss first with your ob-gyn md.
