A member asked:

Light yellow stool?everything else is ruled out except colitis.its been 2 weeks of light yellow stool.my bile ducts are perfect.endo next.any ideas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yellow stool: Yellow stool may be due to absence of normal amounts of bile in the intestinal tract because of stones, but it can be due to rapid transit of stool through the intestinal tract as seen with diarrhea from infection or colitis. Perhaps an antispasmodic like Bentyl (dicyclomine) may slow down loose stools. Your gastroenterologist will advise you after his work up is completed.
