Clonazepam: Clonazepam (klonopin), a member of the benzodiazepine family. The most common side effects associated with benzodiazepines are sedation, drowsiness and mental confusion. Hence the larger dose is recommended for night time. If you have any concerns, ask your doctor to adjust medication accordingly to your needs.

Ask the prescriber: Depending on the indication for the medication. The lower dose at night may make insomnia worse if present.

Yes. maybe...: Today you will see how you feel. Mostly, i would be concerned that you not be driving or doing anything where your being sedated or possibly falling asleep would endanger yourself or others. Tonight, you may have a problem sleeping with just the 1/4. An additional 1/4 tablet, or over the counter sleep aid for the one night may be effective. In the future, you may want to split am ; pm in advance.
