Lumbar disease: The best treatment is to work on the core muscles, and train your body to maintain better posture. Alexander technique is one of the programs that works on posture and alignment of the spine. The lumbar belt is more for support, but does not help to attain proper alignment. Good luck.

Not needed: A lumbar support belt is not likely to be useful. They are not expensive, so you could give it a try. However, I do not recommend them. Check out spine-health.Com.
