Do not worry: I do not think you should be concerned about a blood clot in that area. Blood clots are of concern only when they are present in your leg veins. This is something minor. Your doctor will need to take a look to find out its nature.

Don't worry.: What you describe could be a varicose vein with a superficial clot (superficial phlebitis) or a cyst . Either way, it is not an emergency and should not be anything bad. Try applying warm compresses and wait for your appointment with your doctor.
